Recall for Dingo Brand Dog, Cat, and Ferret Pet Treats
This A+ FRR Pet Nutrition FAQ discusses the recall of Dingo cat and dog treats due to concerns over salmonella bacteria contamination.

A pet food recall for the
Dingo brand of dog, cat, and ferret treats has been issued as of March 31, 2007, for the United States and Canada due to concerns over
salmonella contamination. Cincinatti-based Eight in One Inc., a division of United Pet Group Inc., manufactures the Dingo brand of pet treats and reports that the salmonella bacteria could infect both animals and people handling the treats.
This recall is not related to the recent Menu Foods pet food recall, and specifically applies only to the Dingo Chick'n Jerky for Dogs, Dingo Kitty Chicken Jerky and Dingo Ferret Chicken Jerky treats.
These products have been removed from store shelves in retail locations such as Target, Wal-Mart, and PetSmart, and consumers are advised to immediately stop feeding the treats to their pets and throw away unused portions.
Additional information on the recall and refunds for contaminated treats is available on the Eight in One web site or by calling the company's toll-free customer service number: (888) 232-9889.

A+ FRR Note: Flint River Ranch has no involvement with Eight in One Inc or the Dingo Brand, and none of Flint River Ranch's all natural, healthy dog food formulas or cat food formulas are involved in this dog food recall or any other pet food recall.
